If you are the parent of a CHS girls soccer player, you will want to attend the first meeting of the CHS Girls Soccer Boosters!The meeting will be held on Monday, February 8th at 6:30 pm. in Room 125 at CHS (Coach McNulty's science classroom). The job of the soccer coach is to coach the team while the job of the soccer boosters is to handle all the "behind the scenes" work which helps make the team successful. Every parent's help here is welcome! We will be discussing potential fundraisers, clothing sales, team activities/parties, end of the season banquet, snacks for out of town trips, soccer equipment and more! Please pass the word on to other soccer parents about the meeting. See you Monday!
Sylvan Learning Center is sponsoring a "Write Your Way into College" Essay Contest for juniors and seniors. Applicants are asked to write a 300-500 word essay answering one of these questions: "How do you want to contribute to your community and society after college?" or "What is your greatest talent and how do you share it with others?" Two prizes will be awarded' one prize is a $400 textbook scholarship. The other is a Sylvan ACT prep program valued at $995. For details and essay format guidelines, visit www.sylvanbismarck.com.
