Connie Armstrong, Counselor

Connie is a former graduate of Bismarck High School. She attended North Dakota State University where she received a B.A. degree in Spanish Education and a M.A. degree in Counseling. Connie has worked as a school counselor at Fargo North High School, Bismarck High School, Meacham Middle School (Fort Worth, TX), South Central High School and, since 1991, Century High School. She is a National Certified Counselor, a National Certified School Counselor, a North Dakota Licensed Professional Counselor, and holds a North Dakota Secondary Principal's Credential. In 2007 she received the Glenn Dolan Award from the North Dakota Counseling Association.
Connie and her husband Steve are the parents of two daughters. Jesse graduated from BHS in 1999 and is married to Jason Jochim. She teaches English and speech at Century High School. Lacey graduated from CHS in 2001 and is a third-year medical student at the University of North Dakota.

Kim Motis, Counselor

Kim recieved her undergraduate degree in Family and Consumer Science from North Dakota State University. She began her teaching career at the Youth Correctional Center, Mandan, as a vocational special needs teacher. Kim came to Century in the fall of 1986 as a Vocational Resource Educator, working with high risk and special needs students. She obtained her M.Ed. degree in Counseling and Guidance from North Dakota State University in 1996 and started her position as a school counselor the fall of 1996. Kim is married and has two children.

Dan Trottier, Counselor

Dan, a graduate of CHS, received his B.S. degree in Education from NDSU. He returned to Bismarck in the fall of 1989, when he accepted a teaching position at BHS and CHS. Dan taught U.S. History, Sociology, and American Pageant for ten years. After receiving his M.Ed degree in Counseling and Guidance from Northern State University in 1998, he moved into the counseling department. Dan is married and has four children.
