2016 Football Cheerleaders
Season Information

  • Congrats to the CHS cheerleaders on the following awards at The Fall State Cheer Competition! 2nd Place Time out Cheer Division, 2nd place Team routine, Phat Pats stunt group got 5th, Isabel Hanson got 4th in the All Around cheer challenge, 5th Place went to Grace Poolman in the All Around Cheer Challenge. Averie Anderson and Tierney Eagleson got the Senior Award, and the Varsity football cheerleaders earned the Team Scholar Award. Awesome job ladies!

  • Recently the Century High School Cheerleaders attended a National Cheerleaders Association Cheer Camp. The camp was help at the University of Mary and went for 3 days. Over 120 cheerleaders attended for around the state. The century cheerleaders earned many awards at camp. Those awards are as follows:
    3 SAFE stunt awards
    2 Superior ribbons for our cheers
    2 Excellent ribbons for our chants
    2 spirit sticks
    Performance Top Team First Place
    Bid to Nationals
    All American Nominees- Ashley Gessele, Alexa Gonzalez, Grace Poolman, Lauryn Hinckley, Whitney Klimpel, Isabel Hanson, Tierney Eagleson, Shae Pfenning, Tayler Feldman, Paige Voegele, Abby Belisle, and Jurny Summers.

    All American Winners- Tayler Feldman, Isabel Hanson, Grace Poolman and Alexa Gonzalez

  • Congrats to the CHS cheerleaders on their 2nd place team finish at the Winter State Cheer Competition. Congrats to the Hockey and Basketball cheerleaders on their Team Scholar Awards. Congrats to Laney Beiswenger on her 2nd place finish in the All Around Cheer Challenge AND the Jump Off. Congrats to Gracynn Young and Alyssa Baerlocher on receiving the Senior Award.

    Tammy Duursma
    Tammy Duursma

    Tammy Duursma is originally from Bismarck, ND. She is going on her 9th year coaching at CHS, 13 years coaching overall. She has 9 years of cheer experience ranging from middle school thru college. She is a 3 time All-American Cheerleader and a two time jump off winner as well as a 4 time team winner in the ND State High School competitions. She was an assistant coach of the NDSU Cheer Team for 2 years, previously coached the cheerleading and dance team in Las Vegas, Nevada, was a camp instructor for the NCA/NDA organization for 4 years, was an assistant coach of the ND All-Star Team for two years and co-coach of the ND cheer team. She is currently on the NDCCA board where she is Past President and helped create the Partner Stunt and All Around Cheer Challenge divisions. She is AACCA Spirit Safety Certified. She has stayed actively involved in cheer via judging, choreographing cheer routines and has attended UCA/UDA College Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Tammy teaches Physical Eduation in the BPS system.

    Stephanie Robinson
    Stephanie Robinson is originally from Underwood, ND and began cheerleading in junior high. She cheered through college at NDSU and was captain her senior year. This is her second year as an assistant coach at CHS. Stephanie is currently in Human Resources at Bartlett & West Engineering.

    Meagan Behm
    Meagan Behm is from Minot, ND and began cheering for both football and basketball seasons her sophomore year of high school at Bishop Ryan. During that time, the cheer team she was a part of took first place on four different occasions and second on another at ND State Cheer competitions. The team also took second in the small team division at the UCA Spirit of America competition in Minneapolis. Her senior year she won Class B jump off at Winter Competition and is also a two time All American Cheerleader. In addition to her third year of assistant coaching at CHS, she is currently a junior at University of Mary where she is studying elementary education and is a football cheerleader for the Marauders football team.
