---------------------------------------------------------2016 Season------------------------------------------------------

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ben's family during this very difficult time. He will be missed by all.

Benjamin "Ben" Berg
May 26, 1998 - October 04, 2016

Benjamin William Berg was born on May 26, 1998, in Bismarck, ND, to James and Carrie Berg. On October 4, 2016, while pursuing his love of duck hunting he slipped under the water and into the hands of our Lord.

Ben attended elementary school at Highland Acres, middle school at Horizon Middle School, and graduated this past June as valedictorian of the class of 2016 from Century High School. He was currently a student at Bismarck State College, where he was taking the required coursework to begin pursuing a degree in pharmacy.

Ben loved the outdoors. He loved to reel in a whopper or get the big buck. His favorite time of year was duck season. His other love was playing baseball. He played for many years from T-ball to Legion and Babe Ruth. He will truly be an angel in the outfield!

Ben is survived by his parents, James and Carrie (Galliger) Berg, Bismarck; his grandparents, Robert and Glenda (grandma "I See") Berg, Williston, and Clyde and Kathleen (grandma "Sweetheart") Galliger, Bismarck; his uncles, Charles (Mira) Galliger, John (Sara) Berg, Daniel (Michelle) Berg; his aunt, Rebecca (Vaughn) Cornell; his cousins, Ryan and Meghan Galliger, Chelsea, Cody and Emma Berg, Katelynn and Jaren Berg, Kaleb and Hannah Cornell; great-aunts and great-uncles; his special friend, Teresa Fricke; friends and teammates and their families.

Ben was welcomed to Heaven by his great-grandparents.

"2016 Striking Out Hunger Night"

The 1st Annual "Strike-Out Hunger Night" was a huge success as the Century High School Patriots hosted the Bismarck High School Demons! Together through the generous fan donations, sponsorships, and money raised by selling event t-shirts, we were able to raise $4,260 for the Great Plains Food Bank, f Bismarck.

In addition thru the food drive held at CHS and BHS and with items donated at the game we were able to gather 225 pounds of food that was distributed through a local food pantry that serves the Bismarck/Mandan area. We would also like to thanks Ron Walters from the Great Plains Food Bank for his presentation at the game, Sean Thorenson for designing a logo for and shirt for the event and Jim & Nicole Poolman for donating the event t-shirts.
